Well the time has come, I am on the other side of my 20's!!
As of last Wednesday I am no longer in my "Early Twenties"
AHHHH!!
I celebrated my 26th Birthday on Wednesday with lots of
love and cupcakes from my "newesh" co-workers.
My In-laws, and my sweet Hubs
Charlie and I went OUT ON THE TOWN (ok, just kinda)
Dinner at the always yummy Sitti
and pre-dinner drinks at the Landmark (where Charlie and I met).
It was SO nice being downtown even for a little bit.
We even got a Christmas tree in preparation for the weekend!
I have decided getting a Christmas tree will be a tradition from here on out,
It was such a fun thing to do on my birthday!
Since it was in the middle of the week, and we are elderly people
and we do nothing on school/work nights anymore,
we saved the "throwdowns" for the weekends now!
On Friday we had a "social" as Charlie called it at our house.
It was nice because after over a year being there,
we still have friends that haven't seen our home yet!
And we hadn't really had more than 5 people in the house at one time,
so a party we had, and it included a decorated Christmas Tree to boot!
here are a few pictures of the crowd!
Mom and I, she was so sweet to come into town, buy a crap-ton of awesome food, talk with my friends, drink wine with me, and then buy us lunch before she left.
I love her.
She Rocks.
Below are some of the great couples that could make it over!
Alicia and Brent
Liz and Cody
Carson and Danielle
That made a TON and she used more cheese, to make it even more wonderful!
I can brag that I gave her the recipe... but she put in the work!
There was also some fantastic Goat Cheese that people probably ate not knowing what it was... but it was awesome too, and we still have some, which is making me kinda slobber as a write this!
Charlie was so wonderful to me on my birthday, here are some pictures of us just because we are vain and rarely have pictures together, since I'm normally behind the camera.
Picture of us and the tree.
We got a smaller one this year, and the trend might stick for a while, it's easy to carry, we didn't need to buy more lights, and it's perfect for our little house!
Similar picture.
Better smile from Chuck
with a little less tree, lot more McCants.
and everything is better with more McCants...
Even though it was a party for me, Charlie and I happen to both like the same cool people, so there were also a good group of gentlemen there too, plus someone had to drink all the beer..
Charlie is such a wonderful husband that he made a very sweet toast to me and
Sherry got a great picture of it!
All in all it was a great birthday, and I think I might be able to get over this "I'm not a young adult any longer" I'm like an actual adult. Although, when I talk about people that are older than me...
You know I call them "Real Adults"...
I hope you had a fabulous birthday!!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos.
